It’s back, y’all! College football kicked off last week and the NFL season is right around the corner. Whether you have a 10 a.m. or a 7 o’clock kick-off, tailgating is a must in these neck of the woods. We’ve been to more tailgates than we can count through the years, so we’re sharing our tips for a Goode pre-game celebration.
First, let’s talk about preparation. Don’t wait until the last minute to gather your tailgating supplies. Make sure all your ingredients, utensils, tables, chairs, flags and, most importantly, drinks are packed and ready to go the night before. We recommend planning a menu and dividing the list amongst your fellow game watchers. Some of our favorite football foods include deviled eggs, game day chili, burgers and chips and dips galore.
Come game day, park your pickup and start setting up the entertainment. This means designating a corn-hole space, grilling station and entertainment center. Whether you’re blasting your fight song through your car’s speakers or hooking up a flat-screen and satellite, make sure you have plenty of time to set up your tailgating space before the party starts.
As for the color you sport and the team you’ll be rooting for, that’s up to you. Just make sure you have goode company to enjoy the game with.
