May 28th marks a very important holiday, folks. It’s National Brisket Day; a day that gives the king of Texas BBQ the recognition it deserves. Y’all know we’re all brisket enthusiasts around here, so it should come as no surprise that we’ll use this national holiday to do some Goode celebrating and eating.
Brisket is one of our most popular BBQ offerings and we go through roughly 27,000 pounds of brisket each week at our three BBQ locations. We rub down our USDA choice briskets with our secret family rub before we send it to the smoker. We slow smoke all our briskets between 12 and 16 hours, depending on their size, over mesquite wood to ensure they get that perfect Texas smoke flavor.
Once it’s smoked to perfection, we slice it, chop it, cover it in BBQ sauce and enjoy the tender, juicy Texas delicacy. We hope you will join us for a brisket lunch or dinner today to celebrate the King of Texas BBQ.
