Here’s to 2013

Happy New Year, y’all! I can’t believe 2012 is already comin’ to a close, but I guess time flies when you’re having fun. This year was one of the best because it was spent celebratin’ Goode Company’s 35th anniversary.

We kicked off our 35th anniversary celebration with the Texas Tour, a contest where fans were given the chance to win a trip to a Texas town and experience it with me the “Goode” way. During a nine month period, I got to take six different fansfrom all over the country to AustinFort WorthSan AntonioGrueneRound Top and Houston.

The tour’s final stop in Houston also marked our blowout 35th Anniversary Party at the Armadillo Palace. It was one heck of a party! Billy Joe Shaver performed, we had outrageously Goode food, signature libations, a cigar rolling station, plus special surprises for our guests like a magician! It was so special to be able to celebrate 35 years of success with my family and friends and it’s a night that I’ll never forget.

Also in 2012, I had the opportunity to dine with Owen Daniels and I attended the 24th Annual Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbeque in Nashville, which is the world’s most prestigious BBQ contest.

But to be honest, the best part of the year was the fact that I got to do what I love to do every day, and that’s serving the highest quality, most delicious food to y’all – my Goode friends. I thank my lucky stars each night because I have the best job and customers around.
