Here at Goode Company we love live music, cold beers and Goode times. Heck, that’s why we have a whole location dedicated to live music and another one that hosts local bands all summer long: Armadillo Palace and BBQ – Highway 290 (in case you were wondering…)
It’s hot here in Texas and as our friends at Shiner Beer say, “There’s nothing finer than live music and Shiner.” We could argue that they forgot to include Texas BBQ, but for today’s sake we’re focusing on good old-fashioned Texas county music.
Music is something that has been part of the Goode Company brand well before The Armadillo Palace opened. Back when the original BBQ location on Kirby Drive opened in 1977, Leon “Pappy” would play his fiddle on the first Friday of every month. Now we’ve got a whole location dedicated to live music right across the street. The Armadillo Palace hosts live Texas music every Saturday night capturing the spirit of Texas music week after week.
Our BBQ Highway 290 location has also jumped on the live music wagon. During the summer months, they rope off the gravel parking lot, pull out the stage and set out picnic tables for locals and visitors alike to enjoy some Goode music. Not to mention they offer one heck of a beer bucket deal that make these live performances even more fun.
If this has struck a chord and you want to tap your boot to some country music while eating our BBQ, you won’t want to miss these upcoming performances:
- Stephen Chadwick live on Saturday, July 20 at Armadillo Palace at 10:30 p.m. $8 cover charge
- Little Late for Nashville live on Friday, July 26 at Goode Company BBQ – Highway 290 from 7 – 10 p.m. Free performance
