A Goode Football Watch Party

It’s officially football season, y’all. The NFL season has kicked off and college ball is well underway. We’re always ready for a tailgate, but sometimes a watch party is the next best option. If you can’t make it to a game this season, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy football on the big screen. We’re sharing our tips on how to host the best watch party in town.

You're Invited

First thing’s first, you need a big screen TV and the more screens, the merrier. We don’t see anything wrong with hooking up an extra flat screen in your living room during the fall. When football is concerned, there are never enough screens to capture all the action.

The second most important factor to hosting a Goode party is the food. No one wants to come over for a game and be distracted by a rumblin’ stomach. If you’re inviting people over, make sure your food line-up is Texas-sized. Appetizers like bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers will warm up your appetite. Once the game is officially underway, bring out the MVPs: game day chili, fresh grilled fajitas, burgers and the king of Texas BBQ, slow-smoked mesquite brisket. Make sure you have all the fixings to go with the Goode stuff too.

It wouldn’t be a true party without cold Texas beer and some delicious pecan pie to wrap things up. Even if the game is a doozy, your guests will leave with a sweet taste in their mouths if you serve up some famous Brazos Bottom Pecan Pie.

Whether you’re watching Thursday night college games, Sunday afternoon games or Monday Night Football, with these tips it’s sure to be a Goode party.

Oh yea, and Go Texans.
