An organization I hold near and dear to my heart is the Make-A-Wish Foundation®, which is the world’s largest wish-granting organization. The foundation is based on the mission is that “Wish children of the past, present and future will have an opportunity share the power of a wish®.” It began in 1980 and since then has made the wishes of more than 230,000 children with life-threating medical conditions come true all over the world.
The organization makes thousands of kids’ wishes come true every year, and I think the work they do for young ones fighting illnesses is unbelievable. To help them make more wishes come true, I’m hosting a crawfish boil this spring to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation®.
Goode Company’s Craw-wish Boil benefitting the Make-A-Wish Foundation® Texas Gulf Coast & Louisiana Chapter will be held at the Armadillo Palace on May 11 from 2 to 6 p.m. We’ll be having all the fresh crawfish you can eat, drinks and live music to raise funds for this amazing organization. Not only will you be having fun, but also you’ll be doin’ it for a good cause.
I’ll be giving y’all more details on this event once we get into April, so keep checking our blog and the Armadillo Palace’s Facebook page. If you’d like to learn more about the Make-A-Wish Foundation® or make a donation, visit their website.
