I’m proud to share that last weekend’s inaugural Craw-Wish Boil at the Armadillo Palace was a huge success. Friday’s showers created the perfect weather on Saturday for us to boil crawfish for our fellow mudbug lovers to devour.
Upbeat performances by Curtis Poullard & the Creole Zydeco Band and the Derailers set the tone for the event where our guests enjoyed nearly 2,000 pounds of delicious crawfish.
Most importantly, Craw-Wish helped raise thousands of dollars for the Make-A-Wish Foundation Texas Gulf Coast & Louisiana Chapter. The organization’s lovely volunteers were on site to bring attention to the worthy cause, which I’m honored to support.
I appreciate y’all coming out to enjoy crawfish and support the Make-A-Wish Foundation last weekend with us. With your help, we’re going to be able to make a young Houstonian’s dream come true.
Don’t worry if you missed 2013’s Craw-Wish Boil because it’s going to be an annual Armadillo Palace event – we already have the 2014 date set! If you weren’t able to attend this year, be sure to check out the pictures at the end of the post that were taken by Chris Brown.
If you came to Craw-Wish, let us know what you thought on our Facebook page! I hope to see y’all at next year’s Craw-Wish Boil!
