Chappell Hill’s Scarecrow Festival

We love this cool weather and think it is the perfect time to head up the highway to Chappell Hill’s 37th Annual Scarecrow Festival this weekend. Enjoy this fall Texas weather with some Goode outside family fun.

Scarecrow Festival

This annual event takes place in one of our favorite Texas towns, Chappell Hill, this weekend on Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13. The festival showcases an array of scarecrow displays as well as more than 250 exhibitors including home décor, garden goods, art, jewelry and clothing. We love this festival because it also offers delicious country-style food, live music, entertainment and tours of the historic Texas community.

Before you saddle up your family and head up Hwy 290 toward Chappell Hill, stop by our Goode Co. BBQ on 290 for breakfast. After about 40 miles, you’ll hit this quaint little town and can enjoy a fun weekend in the country. The festival is open from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday and 9 p.m. – 5 p.m. on Sunday. Heck, stay until Monday and swing by the Blue Bell Ice Cream Creamery before you head home.
